February News2011Mrs. Everett’s Kindergarten In the ClassroomBoy January went by too fast! Hope you all enjoyed all of that snow! In January we learned about winter weather and animals in winter. We read different versions of The Mitten and created a Venn diagram. We talked about migration, hibernation and adaptation. In math we have been reviewing numbers 1-20, creating patterns and graphing. All of the students have been working hard and they are doing a great job! February will be a fun month. Our units of study will be underground animals, Valentine’s Day, dental health, healthy me and the five sense. We will continue working with numbers 1-20 and begin to work on numbers 21-30. We will also work on sorting and classifying objects using different rules. Of course there is much more going on in the classroom but those are few of the highlights.
