How to Install a Linksys Wireless Extender

Before you begin the setup procedure, double-check that the following conditions have been met.

a wireless network's name (SSID)

Wireless password or network security key

Step 1: Connect between the extender and the PC using an Ethernet cable.

Step 2: Plug in your range extender's power supply and check that the LED lights are on.

Step 3: Open a web browser on your computer and type the IP address of your router.

Step 4: A prompt box will now display on the screen, requesting a username and passkey. In the Username field, type admin, and in the Password field, type admin. It's now or never to sign in.

Step 5: Select Wireless Basic Configuration from the Wireless menu.

Step 6: Assign the manual to the radio button, and then type your router's network name.

Step 7: Detach the power wires from the router and the range extender for 30 seconds. To begin, connect the router cord. Wait until the cables are stable before connecting the range extender. Your Linksys range wifi extender and router should now be in sync with each other.
