Battle of the Books
Then we will prepare for the battle!!! On Friday, March 1 the Battle of the Books will take place beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the multipurpose room. A typical battle is a tournament or game, in which student teams answer questions about details from all the books on the list.
The whole idea of the Battle of the Books is to nourish the hearts and minds of children with excellent literature. Every child is a gift from God, and should be given the opportunity to develop their potential through the discovery of reading.
Where do you find the books? You can check them out from the public library, purchase them from the upcoming school book fair, or on Amazon.com. (Sometimes, you can purchase the used books on Amazon for as little as a penny).
