This is my third year teaching English III and IV and advising the yearbook at Hoisington High School. It is my 11th year of teaching.
I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Kansas State University and earned my ESL endorsement a year and a half later from Newman University.
In 2005, I returned to college to pursue a Master's Degree in English, which I completed and earned in May 2007 from Fort Hays State University.
Throughout my teaching career I have taught Language Arts to various grades at both the middle and high school level, and advised student publications at the middle and high school levels as well. My love for yearbooks runs deep, as I have been involved with the production of them since I was a sophomore in high school.
I've been married to David, a contractor, for nine years and we have two children: Brody, a first grader at Holy Family School in Great Bend, and Darcy, a preschooler at Roosevelt Elementary. I love to bake, cook, clip coupons, save money and shop online. I can't call running a hobby, or even say I enjoy it, but I do it. I like to enter local 5- and 10-Ks, so if you hear of one, let me know!
