Rubric for Class Folk Tales
There was no thought put into the story before class started.
Thought was put in, but no family member or other adult was consulted.
An adult participated in the assignment and signed the sheet. The story was well thought out beforehand.
The student was talking to other students while their partner recited their story.
The student wasn’t talking to other students, but wasn’t paying full attention to their partner.
The student actively listened and focused all of their attention on their partner
Style jumps from use of dialect to standard English or is written in the student’s own way of speaking instead of their partner's.
Attempt is made to use only one style, but slips are present.
One style is present and used throughout the entire story.
