  Saturnalia

The Romans celebrated Saturnalia to honour their gods. They gave stuff too each other and gambled. They also untied a statue and elected an important guy to be the king.  They celebrated in public places and private places. The Romans made small gifts to give to each other and had a special market. They had school holidays. They had role reversals and the rich Romans served the poor Romans. Everybody celebrated Saturnalia, including slaves and children.
