How to fix SBCGlobal Email Not Working with Outlook?

 

 

SBCGlobal email is working as a subsidiary email of AT&T. Whenever we try to access it through a third-party email client, we have to undergo a whole process of manually setting up the SBCGlobal email account in Outlook. If you miss any of the settings or do it incorrectly, you are going to face SBCGlobal Email Not Working with Outlook issue. In such a case, you first have to remove the account and set it up again with the correct settings. In this short write-up, we are going to see both of the processes to remove and correctly configure the SBCGlobal email account in MS Outlook.

 

Removing SBCGlobal Email Account from Outlook

Following are the steps by which you can remove the SBCGlobal email account from Outlook and solve the Sbcglobal email problem:

  1. Open the Outlook software.

  2. Go to the Accounts Setting option and click on it.

  3. Within it, select the Manage Profile option and then click on the Show Profiles option.

  4. Once you click the Show Profiles option, the list of accounts added to your Outlook will appear. From there, select your SBCGlobal email account.

  5. After selecting it, click on the remove button to disconnect SBCGlobal Email from Outlook.

 

Adding SBCGlobal Email to Outlook

After following the above steps to remove it, below-mentioned are the steps for properly configuring the SBCGlobal email account in Outlook:

  1. Open the Outlook software and click on the Files option in the top menu bar.

  2. Now, click on Add Accounts button.

  3. Enter your SBCGlobal email address in the visible text field. Select the option present under Advanced Options for manually configuring it in Outlook and remove SBCGlobal Email Not Working with Outlook issue. Click Connect.

  4. Select the Account Type, it can either be IMAP or POP. Most of the times, it is IMAP, so we advise choose IMAP.

  5. In the Account Settings window, the following are the settings that are to be configured:

    1. Incoming Server: imap.mail.att.net

    2. Port No.: 993

    3. Encryption Required: SSL

    4. Outgoing Server: smtp.mail.att.net

    5. Port No.: 465 or 587

    6. Encryption Required: Yes

  6. Click on the Next button.

  7. Fill in your SBCGlobal email account password.

  8. Click Connect and your account will be successfully added to Outlook.
