Culture and Religion



Swedish culture has been described as Lutheranism. Some of the celebrations are Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, and Fat Tuesday.

Christmas-Christmas is Jesus' birthday, Easter-Easter is when Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Sunday.  Pentecost-Pentecost is the great festival that marks the birth of the Christian church by the power of the Holy Spirit, Fat Tuesday-Fat Tuesday refers to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season, which begins Ash Wednesday.
