About Me

A little Bit about me....

I am a very lucky person. I come from a very large family. My mother is one of six and my father is one of 15. I have 38 aunts and uncles and over 100 first cousins. My twin sister, Heather, and I were born on April 4, 1975 to Stephen J. Holzapfel and Sue Metzger Holzapfel. We were the first of four children. My sister, Heather, is a physical thearpist in Nashville. I have two other sisters Abby, who is a CPA and Morgan, a student. They both live in Nashville. I also have two brother-in-laws, Seth and Bryce.

I have a wonderful husband named Julian who is very kind and funny and makes everyday an adventure.
I have two beautiful, smart, spectacular children, Emma and Miles. Emma is 22 years old. She is outspoken and precious. She is a wonderful artisit and loves to make games and sing and dance. My son, Miles, is a sophomore in college. He is smart and funny and loves to play any sport. I also have a spunky step-daughter, Grace, who is in 2nd grade. She loves all things fairy and is quite a funny character.  I have the most adorable grandson named Elliot who is the highlight of my day everyday. We also have a giant dog named Teddy who is a Great Pyranees but he thinks he is a lap dog.

I took a few years off to teach at my step daugther's private school but am excited to be back in MNPS again.  I have taught 5th, 7th 8th and college leveled students. I am thrilled to have your child in my class this year and look forward to a spectacular school year.

I love to read mostly fiction, criminal mysteries or psychological thrillers. I like to spend time with my children- mainly playing games or watching movies with them. I try and surround myslef with friends and family as often as possible.

I am a very blessed person. I have an extrodianry family and fabulous friends. I work at the best school in Nashville with the most wonderful faculty and administration.

I look foward to many more wonderful years teaching and hope to share some of these experiences with you.
