Closure

I hear the word all the time.

I know it’s the end

Of someone’s pain.

The frayed edges of a marriage

Trimmed.

The criminal get his just deserts.

A victim rests easier

In his grave.

Some unpleasantness is over.

For someone.

But I can’t think of closure

When I think of you.

All those winters

All those summers

Gone.

No bang

No whimper

No closure.
