Physical Science is an encompassing term for the branches science that study non-living systems, in contrast to the biological sciences. It is the science of matter and energy and their interactions. Attendance is a major part of a student’s success. The use of basic math skills is needed, and a calculator will be allowed and encouraged on class assignments and tests. Calculators will be provided to the student.

The grading scale at the right will be applied to this course:Each marking period will consist of at least 5 test grades, and an additional bell work grade.

It will be the student’s responsibility to catch up on missed material if absent.  According to the Student Handbook, students are given 3 days to make up work after an excused absence.  The student should try to get a copy of missed notes from another classmate OUTSIDE of class, not during.  If extra help is needed, please talk to me before or after your class period in order to schedule a tutoring session one day after school in order to catch up.
