Welcome to the homepage for Mr. Talley's social studies class at Blue Vally Elementary School.

March 2013's news! The latest from Room 138!

March 20th, 2013 – Today we had a very special guest speaker; Judge Warren Ellis. Judge Ellis was able to take time from his busy schedule come at talk to our class about the Consistution, why it's important and explain the basics of how the judicial branch of the government works. Afterwards the judge took questions from the class and offered to work with me to organize a field trip to the country coarthouse later this year. Thanks again for your time and help, Judge Ellis!

March 15, 2013 - I wish you all a great St. Patrick's Day this Sunday!

March 11th, 2013 - For all students, please remember that March 15th will be the date of our mid-term test. Remember to study for this test as it will count for 5% of your grade this semester. I know that might not seem like much, but I promise you every point counts. Even 1% can mean the difference between an A and a B. For those than need a reminder, the test will cover chapters 10 - 15. Good luck!

March 6, 2013 - I'm feeling better and am glad to be back at work. Thanks to everyone who sent their kind wishes. I'd also like to thank my students for behaving well for the substitute.

March 3, 2013 - I'm not feeling well and will be taking a few days off to recover. Lesson plans, seating charts and all other needed information have been prepared for the substitute. I'll remind my students that I used to be a substitute teacher myself. So I expect everyone to treat the substitute with the same respect you'd show me. See you all again soon.

March 1, 2013 - I found a watch on the floor of the classroom during lunch today. If you're missing a watch please come and speak to me.
