Weekly Homework

Weekly Homework Information:

Homework assignments are given on Monday each week (unless special circumstances or assignments arise). Students will have Monday through Thursday to complete the homework for the week.  Homework will not be reviewed in class.  If students have questions about their homework or need help with any homework problems, however, they are encouraged to come to Math Café (more information is included in the "Math Café" tab above).  Homework will be due each Friday (unless otherwise noted), and it will be turned in with the Homework Quiz about those homework assignments.  Homework assignments will be graded based on completion, showing work, and organization.  Students will receive a Homework Quiz grade every week, as well.  If a homework assignment is not complete or turned in at the time of the Homework Quiz, the student will receive a 0% in the gradebook for the assignment and the Homework Quiz.  They also must fill out a form explaining why the homework is missing.  This information will be entered into the gradebook.

Each Friday, students will take a Homework Quiz.  Students will be given 3 to 5 homework questions selected directly from the week’s homework assignments.  Students may use their homework for the quiz.  The homework will be stapled to the Homework Quiz when they turn the quiz in, as well.  Homework Quizzes will be graded as a normal quiz grade.  Students will receive a grade based on accurate, neat work and on correct answers.  Correction opportunities will not be allowed on Homework Quizzes, however, the problems will be reviewed in class after the quiz has been graded.

** Students receive only one copy of hard copy homework (practice sheets, projects, etc.) when the homework is assigned, however, a pink link for printing additional copies at home will be listed near the homework too.  Links will usually be removed after one week. **

April and May:

** Each assignment's due date will be discussed at the time the assignment is given. **
