What is Digital Citizenship?
Digital Citizenship refers to the use of technology in a safe, responsible, and legal way. The school system holds a great deal of responsibility when it comes to teaching students how to be good digital citizens. Today the use of technology is geared to motivate, engage, and support student learning therefore, it is crucial for students to understand how to use technology resources appropriately.
Becoming a good digital citizen requires an array of skills, including netiquette concepts and rules of behavior in online learning environments (Roblyer, 2016).
