The World Language Department is bringing to campus the fabulous Mariachi Band once again this year. Please make sure to meet me on Tuesday March 10th over the Auditorium steps at 12:45pm to watch and sing along with the Mariachi Band. The Band will stay on campus until 2pm.
Looking forward to it! 😊
This coming school year - 2019-2020 - you will be studying about Spanish Speaking countries, learning new vocabulary, and new grammar concepts! I look forward to meeting each of you on Monday, August 12 and I look forward to an amazing school year together.
Before you know it you will be a Senior in high school and taking AP Spanish Language and Culture...our scores recently came out for that test...we again achieved a 98% pass rate for the 2019 AP Spanish Language course at Pine View! That is six years in a row! Cause for celebration and something to look forward to achieving, also!
For those wondering, it is my policy to return the tests we take weekly after all students have make up the test.
I update this webpage for communication purposes but make sure yhou also check your child's agenda. It will lead you to this week's homework, classword and monthly calendar.
At times your child may not finish his/her in-class work in a timely manner. If this happens, the in-class assignment will then become homework for that day and will be due the following school day.
This is outlined in the Sarasota County HS progression plan and includes:
1. Attendance
2. Coming to school or class on time
3. Bringing required work tools, such as paper, pen/pencil/textbooks, notebooks, etc.
4. Maintenance of an assignment notebook or similar system
5. Completion of homework
6. Appropriate dress for class
7. Attitude of cooperation with teacher and fellow students
8. Time in class devoted to the appropriate tasks
It is 20% of a student’s grade.
