Can I fund an interest group?

--Yes. Individuals can give as much money as they can. Some individuals give millions of dollars.

Are interest groups free from political parties?

--Interest groups will sometimes affiliate themselves with a certain political party based on what issues they are standing for. Some groups will give money to a certain person or party to make sure their issues are discussed or supported.
