Creative Curriculum Weekly Planning Form-Planning Changes to the Environment

BLOCKS

CCG&O: 7a, 21

Students will be able to build different structures using different shapes of wooden and cardboard blocks. Students will be learning the rules of the block center and how to build with the blocks and clean up when they are finished.

MORNING ACTIVITY CCG&O: 2c,7a,11a, 14a

Students will be able to explore with different manipulatives like pattern blocks, different builders, etc. and puzzles to practice their fine motor skills.

Cooking CCG&O:

No cooking this week.

ART/WRITING

CCG&O: 7a,b, 16a, 17b, 19a,b, 33

Students will use a variety of materials to engage in meaningful creative art and writing experiences that help build fine motor skills.

 

SAND AND WATER &

DISCOVERY

CCG&O: 11, 13, 24, 26

Students will be able to explore with sand using different sand tools to see how they can make sand move. They will also be able to explore with some basic science tools.

DRAMATIC PLAY

CCG&O: 12b, 14a,b, 30

Students will be able to use their imagination and come up with pretend scenarios using things they could find in their home. Students will be able to use pretend food, dishes, kitchen set, and dress-up clothes in their play.

TUBS/Manipulatives

CCG&O: 7a, 11, 14

Students will explore with individual manipulatives to gain cognitive skills. Students will be using different manipulatives to work on fine motor skills, colors, and shapes.

OUTDOORS

CCG&O: 4,5,6

Students will practice their gross motor skills outside.

We will be learning the rules of the playground.

 

COMPUTERS

CCG&O: 28

Students will become familiar with computers by exploring a mouse and students will understand that the computer is a source of fiction/non-fiction information. Students will also be able to do learning activities on the iPads

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT

CCG&O: 34,35

Students will work will teacher to sing a variety of songs or finger plays.

 

LIBRARY

CCG&O: 17, 18 Students will interact with books. Students will have access to fiction and nonfiction books about colors, shapes, and the beginning of the school year.

TOYS & GAMES

CCG&O: 7a, 21, 23

Students will be able to explore with puzzles and games that focus on colors and shapes and using fine motor skills.
