Journal Writing

Write in your journal each day there is no school.  Write about more than just what you did each day.

  • Tell me how you feel about things you seen or heard.
  • Explain funny stories you have heard or funny things you have seen.
  • Tell me about a book or movie you watched.
  • Let me know what some of your favorite activities are to do at home.
  • Write about what you like to do outside!  Tell me how the air smells or feels or tastes...yep, take a gulp of air and describe its taste!!
  • Describe a day in the life of your pet.  What do they do, eat, where do they sleep.
  • If you could go on a holiday, where would you go?  How would you get there? How much money do you think it would cost?
  • Tell me how you helped someone.  What did you do?  How did it make you feel to help someone?  Did you get anything for helping?
  • Write about your favorite chore or job at home.
  • What do you miss about not being at school?  What don't you miss?
  • Observe your mom.  Describe her to me.  What does she look like?  When she hugs you, how does it make you feel?  When you hear her voice, what does it sound like?  Now do the same thing about your dad!
