You are an engineer for a packaging company that needs to create boxes or cans for several types of products.  You have been given five jobs to complete before the end of the work day.

 

Job 1:  A local electronics factory that specializes in televisions would like to purchase boxes from your company.  You need to construct 20 boxes that can each hold a 32” television.  Your job is to research for the dimensions, calculate surface area, and produce a cost for the order.

1.   Visit the pizza shop online.  You need to locate the size of their pizzas (diameter) in inches and record the dimensions of the pizza.  Heights of each box will 2 inches no matter what box.

 

2.      Write down the dimensions of the pizza.  Height of the box will be 2 inches.
