How to Remove Your Netflix Watching History

Do you share a Netflix Watch Party account with friends or family and don't want them to know how obsessed you are with anime? Is your college roommate binge-watching so many Netflix shows that you can't find the Continue Watching button for any of them? Netflix's menu serves up a plethora of content options, but when you're sharing with others, all of those options can become a little overwhelming. Fortunately, deleting your viewing history is simple — whether you're embarrassed or simply want a cleaner menu. Here's how to clear your Netflix history.

How to Remove Netflix History

There are numerous reasons why you may want to delete your Netflix Party viewing history. Fortunately, the process is incredibly simple — even if it isn't immediately obvious. Everyone has streaming skeletons in their closets, so get rid of yours.

Step 1: Next, navigate to the aforementioned drop-down menu in the right corner and click the Account button.

Step 2: When you're there, scroll down to the Profile & Parental Controls section and click the blue View link next to Viewing Activity. This will take you to a page that lists everything you've seen.
Step 3: A cancel sign will appear to the far right of each entry. When you hover your mouse over the symbol, you'll see the text Hide From Viewing History.

Keep in mind that for television shows, each episode is listed separately, labelled by season and episode title. When you click the Circle-Backslash icon on a single title, it will remove only that episode. But you don't have to repeat this process for each episode because a prompt will appear asking if you want to delete the entire series from your history, which you can do with a single click.
