List 3 lab safety rules you know.Assignments –Intro into Lab Safety. Learn Symbols, rules, and procedures.Homework- Review Class notes in order to prepare for lab safety test.
Tuesday

Wednesday

Standard  SCSch.9.c…. Building vocabulary knowledge: Demonstrate and understanding of contextual vocabulary in various subjects, use content in language and speaking.

Bell Ringer (sponge activity) – Warm-up 3Answer these questions about your reading.1.        What is environmental science?2.        List the 2 of the 5 major fields of science in environmental science.

Assignments – Class discussion. Take notes on ch 1. Complete mid-section review on pg 8. answer section review on pg 15

 

Homework-Define ch 1 vocab. Read pgs 16 - 21
Thursday

Standard  SEV.5.c…. Explain how human activities affect global and local sustainability.

Bell Ringer (sponge activity) – Warm-up 4 Answer these questions about your reading.1.        What does the law of demand state?2.        Define sustainability.

Assignments –

Discussion. Take notes on Section 2.Homework-Examine Food package. When you go home tonight, look in your pantry and cabinets. Look at how the items are packaged How many are cans? Bagged? How much of the packages in your home contribute to the waste we generate? What are some of the resources used to make the packages for food? How does this packaging help the food?  
Friday ( remediation)

 Standards SCSh1 – 9 SEV 4… students will understand and describe availability allocation and conservation of energy and resources.

Bell Ringer (sponge activity) – Warm-up 5The industrial revolution formed our society in the way that it exists today. Think about the effects of this revolution on our environment and quality of life. List 3 positive outcomes and 3 negative outcome.
