The L.I.F.E. Program
LIVING INDEPENDENTLY & FOSTERING EMPLOYMENT
Building Independence and Knowledge
The LIFE Program is designed to increase peoples independence and help them transition from adolescence to adulthood. Life program designs each person's program around their individual needs and wants.Goals people choose to work on can range from academic to practical to social. Everyone can find something they want to work on here. The Life staff works individually with people and in group settings to help people achieve their chosen goals.
A major aspect of the Life Program is that participants get to the experience more of their communities and become more comfortable interacting with it. The Life program volunteers with a wide variety of different programs across all of Western New York. There is also room to add other opportunities if a person was interested in a specific option.
At the Life Program, a person will work on their goals alongside peers. Working together builds teamwork, social skills, communication and friendship. Bonds are made at the Life Program that often last way past a person's time here.
