The last Thursday of every month, we will have a mystery guest in our classroom.
My brother will visit disguised as someone who has had a positive impact in our history.
He might be a scientist, an explorer, a president, an athlete, etc.
My second graders will get to use their detective skills to determine his secret identity.
Each student will get to ask our guest a question. They can take notes in their research notebook and then take their notes home and begin researching.
Students will be given a card to record their answer on. The following morning they will place this card in our mystery box. I will reveal the answer afterwards.
Students are not required to participate. But for those who like a challenge this is for you!
Those who guess correctly will earn extra credit and have their name placed on our honorary Wall of Fame!!!
