Dear Parents and Students,
My name is Olivia Mitchell, fourth grade teacher and I am really glad to welcome you all to my classroom this year. I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Masters in Library Science. I earned my Teaching Certification from Educator Preparation Institute through HCC. I have already worked in education in many capacities for many types of educational facilities including the Smithsonian Museum of American History, as a conservation technician, a museum director for a Medical Association, reference and informational librarian for government agencies and for the video company, The Teaching Company. Although this is my first year as a public school teacher, I have been involved with the Pinellas and Hillsborough county schools through volunteering, as a substitute and also have many hours of Field Experience as I earned my K-6 Teaching and my Pk-12 Media Specialist certification. I lOVE to read, learn and teach!
I am looking forward to meeting as well as knowing each student of my class and their parents too. This year will be an exciting year and I look forward to all the activities that have been planned. If you would like to meet me to discuss your child's performance or for any other reason, please feel free to contact me at ----@---- or by phone at 777 777-7777.
