Classroom Guidelines and Consequences


                Our Classroom Guidelines              

The classroom guidelines will be established at the beginning of the year. These guidelines will be established together as a class. The consequences for not following the guidelines will also be established at the beginning of the year.

1.)     Be responsible by: “I will raise a quiet hand when I have something to say. I will follow directions.”

2.)    Be safe by: “I will walk with quiet feet in school. I will keep my hands, feet, and objects to myself.”


3.)    Be respectful: “I will stop talking when someone else is speaking. I will listen when someone is speaking. I will use kind words when I am talking and playing with others.” 


Kind words include the following:   

  • Please
  • Thank you
  • Excuse me
  • I’m sorry 

Our Classroom Consequences for not following the guidelines

First time: Verbal warning

Second time: Student fills out a behavior contract that asks them to identify the rule they have broken, and what they plan to do to correct the situation.  I will keep this behavior contract on file.

Third time: Call home or letter sent home to parents.

Fourth time: Office referral
