Happy Spring!!!! Please see the calendar page for important events and instructions.
Important JUNE dates are available on the calendar page!
8th Grade Final Exam schedule is listed on this website's calendar page!!!!!!
SUPPLY LIST FOR 6TH, 7TH, AND 8TH GRADE MATH CLASS:
All students are to have their OWN: calculator, compass (preferably with the locking mechanism for your ease), protractor (again for your ease the protractor with the swinging arm is recommended), graph paper, highlighter and at least 2 notebooks. In addition, 6th grade students should also have a two pocket folder labeled with their name.
In addition, 8th grade only: each student is asked to bring in a box of tissues, with boys also bringing a disinfectant cleaning spray such as lysol all purpose spray and girls bringing one roll of paper towels.
All supplies are due ASAP especially for the 7th grade who will beginning Math with Geometry and will need the proper tools.
Amid all these "extras" that accompany 8th grade academics, PLEASE, keep your child aware of your expectations as far as their academics are concerned. It is easily lost in all the fanfare and I need your partnership in this endeavor. Academics MUST be their number one priority.
Please access this website frequently as I will be posting important deadlines for both 8th grade activities and projects for all students in my Social Studies and Math classes.
Please, parents if you have ANY questions or concerns, drop me a note and I will get back to you just as soon as possible. If I don't know the answer, I will surely get it for you. A strong home-school partnership is essential in the success of your child!
AS AN ONGOING COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT, THE 8TH GRADE WILL BE CONTRIBUTING TO THE "MAKE A WISH" FOUNDATION OF NEW JERSEY. THERE IS A CAN IN OUR CLASSROOM THAT THE STUDENTS CAN DONATE TO AT ANYTIME. LAST YEAR MY STUDENTS MADE THREE DONATIONS. WHAT A WONDERFUL FEELING TO GIVE TO CHILDREN WHO HAVE A SPECIAL WISH!!
I look forward to spending this very special year with you. We have lots of work to do both academically and otherwise. DEADLINES will be strictly upheld. Together, we can make this both a successful and memorable year!
