Classroom Procedures

Please put child’s name on lunch box.

Please feel free to have lunch with your child. You will need to sign the visitor log in the office and wait for us at the cafeteria doors.

Please try to arrive on time. Our school day begins at 7:30 a.m. Please make sure your child has a good breakfast before arriving at school. If you wish to have your child eat breakfast at school, please arrive in plenty of time for your child to eat before school starts. The cafeteria serves breakfast from 7:00 - 7:30. If your child will be eating breakfast at school, please remind student to go straight to the cafeteria when entering the building.

Please send a note in the morning informing us of the dismissal time.

Children must have a note from you in order to change their transportation home after school. If you are unable to send a note, you must call the office before dismissal time (1:15 p.m.)

Please be sure to have your child’s car tag number in your car window so that the teachers can see it at dismissal. We can not release your child without the card displayed in your window.

Kindergarten Dismissal is at 1:15 p.m. Please be prompt.

If you arrive after 1:30 p.m., you will need to go through the office to pick your child.

If you do not have your child's dismissal number, you will need to pick your child up through the office.

Please let me know in advance if you would like to send anything in to celebrate your child’s birthday. We will plan to have all celebrations at 12:30 p.m.

This is a folder that your child will use everyday to develop organizational skills and learn to become responsible for returning items daily.

Students will bring a homework folder home every Monday. Students will have all week to work on the assignments in the folder. The folder is due back at school completed on Friday morning.

Students will have a Friday Folder. This folder will be sent home every Friday afternoon. This folder will contain work that your child has completed during the week. Please look through your child’s papers, practice any skills that gave your child trouble, sign and return any papers that ask for a parent signature, take out completed work, and return the folder the following Monday.

Every so often I will send home Scholastic Book Orders. This is a wonderful way to build your child’s home library. Each month different titles are featured at a low price. If you are interested in making a purchase from the order form, you will need to complete the order form and send a check made out to Scholastic Book Clubs for the amount of your order.  It usually takes two to three weeks for orders to arrive at school. Scholastic Orders can now be accepted online and paid for by a credit card at Scholastic.com.
