Nutrition and wellness is the fist course in the Nutrition Pathway. Students will learn about kitchen safety, cleanliness, germs, diseases, and foods. This course stresses all aspects of working in a kitchen such as how to prepare foods that are sanitary and nutritious, how to use kitchen utensils, and how to use spices to enhance food. Students will learn how to make better food choices for their lifestyle and also learn about global foods around the world. This course is a beginner course that covers all of the basics and more.
