This chemistry class is an overview of scientific procedures and concepts that include the following: Measurements, Matter and Energy, Atomic structure, Electron configuration, The Periodic Table, Bonding, Chemical Formulas, Chemical Equations & Reactions, Stoichiometry, Gases, Solutions, Reaction Rates, and Acids and Bases.
Students will learn to think critically, ask good questions, collaborate with their classmates, communicate clearly, and use problem solving skills. This course will provide students with knowledge and skills that are applicable to real-world situations that will prove to be useful for the rest of their lives.
My goal for my students is that they will learn the importance of education and, therefore, they will strive to do their best in my class. I want them to recognize their worth and potential, as well as, develop a passion for learning.
