Wednesday 5.11.11 B day-   Do a word map for the word "diction". This goes in the vocabulary notebook section of your binder. Remember the word "diction" means a writer's choice of words. When you give me examples, I want you to give me three good sentences using good diction. Remember when you give me a sentence with the word diction in it, it must give me context clues to figure out what diction means.

West Side Story will be showing on April 28th and 29th. $5 tickets. I will give extra credit for those students who attend the play. I will be selling.

Monday 4.25.11 B day-    Make sure everything is ready for your presentation and that you bring all your props and any materials you  may need. This includes any videos or powerpoints that you have included with your visuals. Bring final draft of your presentation (12 point font and double spaced; follow the template on my website on the mater page). Dress professionally and appopriately. If in doubt bring your uniform in case you aren't wearing something appropriate for this presentation and you can just change.

You will be receiving TWO PROJECT grades (30% of your grade) for this presentation. One grade for the written draft, the other for the presentation.

Professional attire to be worn on the day of the presentation:

Girls: Knee length skirts, slacks, or knee length dresses. Blouses as tops.Heels are acceptable but they must not show any toes. Boys: Slacks and a long sleeve button down. The anchors should wear a tie.

Make sure all members of the group are on the first page. It should be around 2 pages long. I have provided an example on the mater website. Under my profile, click the "writing for embedded assessments" tab and then it's the one that says "Example of SB Unit 2 EA 2 Draft". Follow the Springboard book.
