Ms. Murray's K-2 Kindergarten Class
We have made it through the first trimester of school. Your student has learned a lot during this time. Everyone can write his/her name. Almost everyone knows all 26 letters and sounds of the alphabet. Many know the first 16 high-frequency words and one or two know up to 100 words.
There will be no homework for either kindergarten class until after the fall break. We are finishing testing, putting grades on report cards and preparing for parent conferences.
If your child goes to START you need to know that all the homework cannot be done by the START staff. They may do some of the homework, but parents please check every day. START cannot do the reading or the Story Log that must be done at home.
Please continue to read to your child EVERY night and the child should write and draw in the Story Log boxes. Thank you to the parents who are taking the time to sit with your child and read.
