Teaching Philosophy

My philosophy of education is that by building relationships, educators have the ability to help students reach their full potential.  Strong relationships must be made with students, families, colleagues, administration, and community.  When all of these people work together, the students will benefit greatly.  I also believe that it is important to build well-rounded, global citizens.  Not only is it my job to teach academics based on state standards, but I also have a responsibility to help students become respectful, responsible, and kind young people.  I believe educating children is a huge privilege and responsibility that I do not take lightly.  I know that I have the skills, passion, and knowledge it takes to be an effective teacher and I will use these traits to create a better future for my students.
