Students will receive “Coop-Bucks” for behaving, for excelling on assessments, for following the dress code, for completing AR requirements, and for exceptional conduct.  The Coop-Bucks will count towards earning a homework pass (good for one free assignment with no penalty) and special class/individual  rewards.

The four basic rules are as follows:
              1) Treat others with respect
              2) Walk in the building
              3) Move quietly in the hallways
              4) Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself

Procedures and Routines:
Students are not to be left alone on campus prior to 8:00.   Students need to line up quietly next to their backpacks and have their homework unpacked when I open the door at 8:00-8:05.  Students are to turn in homework and complete their Problem of the Day and Journal by themselves while waiting for the school day to begin.  Students need to look at the morning schedule to see if there are any Specials first thing after Problem of the Day.

Snacks:  No snacks in the classroom.

Please inform me in writing or email of any early dismissals.  tcooper@saintphilips.net

Homework Policy:
Homework may be assigned every day. (Weekend assignments are avoided as much as possible.)
Students are expected to complete all homework.  Homework time limit:1 hour  per day.  Students who don’t finish their homework will finish their work during recess.

Homework is posted every day at the “Mr. Cooper Site” on Scholastic.com, so absent students or parents can check to see what homework is required.  STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO WRITE DOWN THEIR HOMEWORK.  Scholastic.com is more for a tool to communicate to parents and for students to use teacher-approved websites.

Make-up Work Policy
An absent student is required to make up class-work and homework as soon as possible.  See Scholastic.com
