About Me

Malissa Kittrell

Hi everyone, my name is Malissa and I love  my job  what I do! I have the opportunity to be an encourager, a listener, a friend, a mentor, and a teacher every day.

I graduated in 2015 with a B.A. in Elementary Education from one of the best Christian colleges, North Greenville University. While at NGU, I also took courses to become certified in Early Childhood Education.  NGU taught me that teaching is so much more than standards, it's about truly helping the w h o l e child. From 2+2 to life skills, to cheering them on at  their football game, teaching is a part of who I am, and I love it!

I student taught a group of 2nd graders that still have a special place in my heart. I have taught 6th graders how to love reading.  I have taught basic life lessons and skills to a rowdy group of 4th graders. And now, I'm currently teaching 145 6th graders about history- and so much more! :)

In my free time, I spend time playing board, card, and video games with my sweet husband.  We go for walks and bike rides with our big loving dog. We love exploring in nature and seeing pretty views!  I also love having a lazy Saturday snuggling with our two kitty cats and reading a good book!
