Chapter Three: Decimals
Introduction: Most statistics in sports are reported as decimals. In basketball a player who made 52 of 60 free throws would have a “free throw percentage” of 0.867. In this chapter, the student will learn about decimals and how to use them to solve problems.
Focus: Use common procedures to multiply and divide decimals, and evaluate expressions and solve equations with decimals.
