Philosophy of Education

 My  Teaching Philosophy

I believe that education is a vital tool in improving the lives of each and every individual. A quality education can open doors that might otherwise remain closed, and it can provide opportunities that might not be available without it. I believe that education is an ongoing process. It is always possible to learn new information and push youself personally to reach new and higher levels. It is my hope that my students will be able to see how much I love learning, and the value that I place on education.

Every student is a special individual, and should be treated as such. I believe that it is necessary to meet each student at his or her own level, and help that student to improve. Any achievement, no matter how small, should be acknowledged. I want my students to know that I am proud of them, and I want them to be proud of themselves.

Parents and the community are valuable tools in education. In order for both students and teachers to be successful, it is neccessary to have the support of parents and the community. I believe that it is important to  keep open communication with parents and let them know what is going on in the classroom and how their child is progressing in the classroom.

I believe that the value that I as a teacher place on education, the structure of my classroom, and support from parents and the community will all work together to promote success for my students. Each is a key element, and they are all equally important. I hope that students and parents will be able to see my own love of learning, and that because of this they will also see learning as a valuable life tool.
