Reading Comprehension Tips! 1.    Have your child choose a book in which they are interested. 2.   Skim through the book they selected so that you know the story line.3.   Read the book together with your child, asking questions along the way.  4.   Ask questions to make personal connections such as:·        Who are the main people in the story?·        Which character do you like most?·        Which character is the most like you/me/your friend?·        ___ is having a problem with _______.  Has this ever happened to you?·        Have you read other stories where the main character had the same problems? How would you solve this problem?
