My Classroom Website

Welcome to 8th grade! My name is Mrs. Shea and I will be your math teacher this year.  I am so excited to be working at the Higgins Middle School this year.  I have many great things planned for you.  This website will be updated on a daily basis to include your homework assignments, upcoming tests or quizzes, and any projects that we may be doing, or have done.  Should you have any questions, comments or concerns please don't hesitate to contact me.

I am available for extra help on Tuesday afternoons.

Grading Policy
Your grade is composed of four categories, and each has its own weight towards your semester grade.

Class Work 15%
Class work is not only the work you complete in class but also your binder checks.
Homework 25%
Homework will be given out every evening, and is expected to be turned in the next day. All homework should be neat, done in pencil, and show your math work in order for you to receive full credit. Homework turned in late will have a grade reduction, and could lead to a zero.
Quizzes 25%
All quizzes will be averaged together equally for this portion
Tests/Labs 35%
All tests and labs will be averaged together equally for this portion.
