This school year will be my second year at GCMS, and my second year teaching in general. I graduated from the University of St. Francis in Romeoville, IL in May 2008. That summer I moved down to Bloomington, got married to my beautiful wife, and got ready for my first year of teaching. It was a pretty hectic time. This past summer we moved to Gibson City. We love being a part of such a great community that cares about each other so much, and are looking forward to getting to know more people here. We are also very excited to welcome our baby girl to the family in July 2010!!!!
I decided to become a teacher because I realized what a huge impact my teachers had on my life, and want to (hopefully someday) look back and say that I had a positive impact on my student's lives. When i was trying to decide what I wanted to do with my life, I realized that if I can positively impact just one student throughout my teaching career then I will have made a difference and it will be well worth it. I have truly enjoyed the year I have spent at GCMS, and am looking forward to many more!
In my free time I love sports, especially baseball and basketball. I cheer hard for my White Sox, and love to play and watch basketball at any level. I'm excited to help out the GCMS boy's basketball team this winter as well. I also enjoy relaxing at my house with my wife, enjoying some good coffee, and reading a good book.
