Parent-Teacher Communication

Teacher with Red Hair
I plan to communicate with parents in a variety of ways throughout the school year.  Please read below for further information.

At the beginning of each month, I will send an email with my lesson plans/monthly newsletter .  I will print out a copy of these files and hang them outside of my classroom on the parent board.  Please check your email for important updates/information throughout the school year.  I try to check my email every morning before school.  Feel free to email me if you would like to let me now if your child will not be in school due to illness or other reasons.

Verbal & Notes

I often communicate reminders and classroom happenings at arrival and dismissal.  If I have an important message I will also send an email to reach parents that do not do drop-off or pick-up.  You may also find notes on the sign-in sheet letting you know if we will have a Special (Art, Music, Spanish, Social-Emotional Development) or a reminder about an early dismissal.  If you need to talk with me for any reason, we can chat in person after school or set an appointment that works best for your schedule.

Parent Board

Outside of my classroom on the bulletin board you will find the co-op schedule, lesson plan/newsletter, and messages on the white board about what your child explored during the day.  I will also use the parent board to write important updates and reminders.

Questions, Comments, or Concerns

Your child is very important to me, and their happiness and success are my top priority.  Throughout the school year, feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.  I am available to speak with you at the end of the school day or by appointment.
