What's Up?

Classroom News
Information regarding our next field trip goes home on Monday, March 28. The trip will be on April 19, in order to decompress a bit after FCATs : )
The length of this trip will  fall in during school hours; there is no need to arrange alternate transportation on that day! Parents, please write me a note if you have the proper clearance and are interested in chaperoning.
Is THIS THURSDAY. Please make sure that your child is picked up from school at 6:15 PM. Please also make sure that you send in a snack or two with your child. Although we will be suppling a yummy lunch at Cracker Barrel, it is a long day. Snacks would be a great idea!
Phew! Benchmark testing has been completed! I trust that all of the student's put their personal best foot forward and did just great : )
Please expect results to be released in about 3 weeks.
If you are in a place to donate snacks to the class, it would be most appreciated : )
The annual toy drive starts Monday. The class with the most toys brought in wins a pizza party ... plus that nice, warm feeling that you're helping out people in need!
Our next date for Benchmark testing will be Monday, November 29 - Wednesday, December 1. This is immediately following Thanksgiving break. PLEASE try to send you child to school on all 3 testing days. The benchmark tests are a fantastic way to assess how your child is performing so far this year. On  those days, make sure your child has:
1. Had a good night's sleep
2. Had a healthy breakfast
3. Is confident and excited about proving that they have made gains : )
Congrats to Michelle and Tyler! They are our student council representatives. Eva is our alternate. Great work!
I noticed that many parents have not yet met with their child's prior teacher. This being the case, we will start scheduling conferences AFTER the November benchmarks. I feel that this would give me ample time to know your child as a student, as well as plan to any interventions. Thank you : )
Goodbye Halloween. Hello Thanksgiving! It's time for the food drive.
It would be ideal if each student brought in at least one item on the canned food drive list. (if you need a copy, please let me know).
Thank you so much : )
Octoberfest has come and gone. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all of your donations to the fun. The kids had an absolute blast! Don't forget that tomorrow is early release and there is NO SCHOOL on Friday. : )
