Standard 6- Support personal development and participation in society
*Learning experiences need to be implemented that support and enhance student’s personal development and active engagement with the school community and wider world community. Teachers should encourage and support students in setting goals and developing personal identity, values, positive self image, health and well being, and empathy with others.
*As a teacher I must implement lessons that foster lifelong learning and provides students with the opportunities to focus on personal interests and events beyond the school.
*Whilst on my third year prac I received two 'Thank you' cards which I believe are evidence of my support and personal development of students and teachers whom I am working with.
*If I can continue creating these positive relationships in the classroom as a teacher, I believe I will meet the requirements of standard six.
