Each day students must come prepared for class. The following supplies are required for my class and will be needed as soon as possible. All supplies will be clearly marked with the student’s ID number and will be kept in the classroom. Items can be purchased from any HEB, Walmart, Target, Dollar General or Family Dollar Store, Amazon, etc.
1 package of notebook paper, wide ruled
1 inch, 3-ring binder with inside pockets, any color or pattern
1 set of dividers with 5 blank tabs, hole punched, for binder
1 package of 12-count tall colored map pencils
2 packages of #2 pencils. This will be enough to get the year started. Your child needs a writing instrument daily in all classes.
1 zipper pouch, 3 hole punched, to hold pencils and colored map pencils in the binder
1 composition book
Student binders will hold notes, labs, classwork, illustrations, foldables, homework, projects and graded assessments. The student’s binder will be a snapshot of the work they do in my class. Students will be allowed to use the contents of their class binder on some quizzes, and some labs are a multi-day process requiring the students to keep track of their work. Each six weeks, the binders will be cleaned out and readied for the new six week material.
The only materials that students will need to bring to my class daily are a pencil and homework when assigned. The other needed items (above list) will already be in the classroom.
