What is Netiquette?

 

Netiquette is Internet etiquette, meaning it is the correct or acceptable way of communicating on the internet.  It is a code of good behavior on the Internet which includes email, social media, online chat, web forums, and any other type of online communication. The Internet often provides a sense of anonymity, but that should not be an excuse for posting offensive comments and having poor manners. Having good netiquette is benefitial for you and other people on the Internet. 

 

 

Social Networking:

Social networking is a business or social practice that allows expansion of connections through social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkdIn, and Google+. Social networking allows people to establish online contacts that would be useful for them, that they would not have an ability to make otherwise. Additionally to socail media platforms, the capacity for social interaction and collaboration is increasingly built into businnes applications. 

 

 

 

Cyberbullying:

Due to the fact that technology has enhanced so much in the last twenty years, cyberbullying has become more frequent, especially in schools. Because of the increase in cyberbullying, many schools have taken steps to implement policies around cyberbullying (see video). Many states have implemented laws to help prevent cyberbullying.
