Ms. Nina Phillips
I currently teach a 1st & 2nd grade bridge class in District 5 of New York City. Though this is my first year in NY, I have taught in many classrooms before as both a student teacher and lead teacher. I have worked in child care, preschools, and public schools.
I received my Bachelors of Science in Family Science from the University of Maryland, in College Park, MD: just outside of Washington, DC. I am currently working toward my Master's degree in Special Education and Learning Disabilities at Hunter College, with a graduation date of Spring 2011. I am also a NYC Teaching Fellow.
My passions include creating art, working with young children, being outdoors, and spending time with my family! I am always available by email and am often found in the classroom for a few hours after school. I am CPR (adult, child, and infant) and First Aid certified.
