Due to the size of our classes and our classroom, each Explorer may invite ONE person (an adult) to join us. This is the children’s first performance of the year. They usually experience a little stage fright and become easily distracted once all the guests have arrived. Please keep in mind that we are hoping that this will be a positive learning experience for the children and that this is their special day. The children have begun rehearsing some of the songs and seem very excited about preparing for the performance.
We are asking that each child bring a covered dish for the feast. Suggestions ~ Stove Top Stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, chicken nuggets, chicken salad, Swedish meatballs, cheese & crackers, warm rolls w/butter, vegetables, Jello, corn, macaroni & cheese, pierogies, cold drinks, etc… of course, anything will be appreciated. When deciding on the amount to prepare, please consider the number of children in the class plus one guest. A sign-up sheet with suggestions will be posted outside the Explorers’ room. Miss Andrea, Miss Lauri, and Miss Bobbi will provide the dessert, coffee and tea. Please bring any warm food that last hour of class when you return for the children’s program. Please let me know if you plan on attending. The children have a special Thanksgiving presentation planned just for you. We are really looking forward to this day and hope that all the Explorers will be able to take part in this very special gathering. Please make sure your child has breakfast before coming to class on this day since we will not have our morning snack…we will be using this time for rehearsal.

The Special Events Committee will be responsible for coordinating the food tables, set up, and clean up. If you are not on the committee but would still like to help, please let me know.
