Sunlight readable display:
A sunlight readable display is one that can be read under direct sunlight. This includes both the traditional LED displays, as well as lcd displays and led displays. It can also be called Traffic information LCD monitor daylight readable displays.
It should be able to be viewed clearly in strong sunlight without blur or color fade. A good display for Optical Bonding LCD Monitors sunlight use should have high contrast, lower heat emission, and energy-saving features.
Display readable in direct sunlight
Sunlight readability can be achieved in two ways:
1) A high-brightness display that can compete with bright sunlight
2) A transflective display for outside in direct sunlight.
1) An oled or led display that can be read in direct sunlight
Traditional LED displays are suitable for outside use, but they cannot be high resolution, whereas organic led displays (OLEDs) can. All LED displays can be used for sunlight reading, but the cost of a sunlight readable OLED display is higher than that of an LCD display, and the LCD lifetime is longer than that of an OLED display. As a result, many outdoor applications will require a sunlight-readable LCD display.
2) Sunlight readable lcd
Monochrome and color LCDs are available, and any positive mode LCD (dark letters on a bright background) will be easily readable in direct sunlight. Positive mode displays will have dark letters on a bright background.
We always select reflective lcd or transreflective monochrome lcd for outdoor applications, and the cost is about the same as transmissive lcd. This is the most popular monochrome lcd mode available on the market.
Because reflective LCDs do not require a backlight, and transflective LCDs only need a backlight in a dark environment, reflective LCDs and transflective LCDs have the lowest power consumption.
3) Sunlight readable tft display: (color lcd)
The sunlight readable lcd display tft is always a better choice than the color OLED display in daylight and outdoor applications, since it is a lower cost and longer lasting display than color OLED. A transparent tft lcd display module with high brightness and high contrast ratio is a good choice for sunlight readable outdoor display. TFT lcd screens have full display colors compared to monochrome displays.
