Orientation Module – Greetings, Expectations, and What we Know and Think About Reading
Welcome to the Orientation Module! Here, you have four tasks to complete.
First, review this website. Using a Google site is a new thing for PGCPS, so this site will surely be modified as the course progresses. Also, you may not be able to access every page here yet. That's okay for now.
Second, you will complete a survey for us. Please take the survey by clicking on the link below. If you cannot access this survey from this website, move on to the next task.
Third, please take a moment to introduce yourself. You can do that by clicking on the "comments" option below. Please let us know your name, what content area you will be teaching, and what you hope to gain from this course.
Fourth, in preparation for our first face to face meeting, review one of the three websites below. Review the sites with this question in mind: What do you think you will need to learn about using reading in your classrooms? When we meet you will be asked to discuss the site you looked over with a partner and as a group, we will reach some consensus about what is important.
