Scholarship assistance may be available from PRMS Band program. Yes, you may sign out your instrument from school for the summer :)
Band Camp is a great learning experience, but also a lot of fun. Many students return year after year to renew aquaintances with other "band" friends they meet from all over the province. Students are assigned to "activity groups" under the direction of camp counsellors and participate in a variety of fun things, ranging from scavenger hunts, swimming, organized games, crafts and lots more. Day students may participate in all aspects of camp life, except are picked up during the evening to go home to sleep! Residence students stay in dorm rooms (singles or doubles - you can choose) and eat at the University Cafeteria.

"JCC offers a fun-filled week of music and social activities in a safe and happy environment. Children explore different types of choral styles together as they learn about singing techniques, reading music and good musical habits in a supportive and stress-free setting. There are also lots of fun activities including outdoor games, sing-songs, a mystery night, a beach trip, arts & crafts and drama. Cabin Theme Dinner, PJ Breakfast, make your own sundae dessert night and 'Hollywood' talent nights are always favourites, and everybody makes new friends! The week ends with a concert for family members and friends."
"YCC provides an opportunity for teenage campers to develop their skills as choral singers under the guidance of excellent instructors. The camp experience exposes teen singers to many styles of great choral literature, from madrigals to contemporary music. The skills and knowledge introduced are fundamental tools for musical growth and often become the foundation for a lifelong love of singing. In addition to the great musical and social activities, YCCers tell us this week is a wonderful opportunity to step away from their busy worlds and just hang out together in a cool, relaxing place. It's a place where young people can be themselves, where people are accepted for who they are, and where music binds everyone together. It's a place for drama, dance, musicianship training and great food. It's a place for Hollywood night, pyjama breakfast, and theme supper. It's a place of laughter, sunshine and song. But most of all, it's a place for you! The week ends with a concert for family members and friends."
