On-line Resources for Mrs. Benton's Social Studies Classes

"Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

~George Santayanna

Dear students,

Although not everyone loves to study social studies, I believe social studies are an important part of each person's education. History is our story. It tells us where we have been, what we have tried, how we have succeeded, and how we have failed. There are so many lessons to be learned!

As we explore US history, World History, and American Government together, please remember to use this resource along with your textbook. On the linked pages, you will find a number of assignments that we will use throughout our social studies course work. Some of these pages will be used by all the courses, while others are geared to specific courses and units. Please read the page headings carefully.

Let's dive in and see what we can learn from those who went before us, the ideas that paved the way for today, and the pitfalls we can learn from.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Benton

PS- Please be patient with me as I work on developing this site! It is a work in progress and will be expanding over time.
